Full Itinerary

01
Day 1  Arrival at Paro International Airport

Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, complete the immigration procedures
and retrieve your luggage. Our representative, a professional certified tour guide and a driver,
will greet you with the white scarf (khadar) symbolizing the Bhutanese tradition of
welcoming the guest. Then we will set out for Thimphu the capital city, check into the hotel,
and have lunch there. Perhaps you can ask the guide why the white scarf is used to welcome
any guest. After lunch, we will visit the Buddha Dordenma 51meter tall, facing south of
Thimphu, and later stroll through the city.

Day 2  Dechencholing - Chamina

Estimate time: 5 hours
• Campsite altitude: 3360m
After 45 minutes’ drive from Thimphu to Pangstanding rizampa, along the banks of the
Wangchu river, we will start the trek covering an elevation of 850m till the campsite. The
trek takes you through traditional and beautiful villages. You will reach Shong Pang and then
Chamina village, where your camp is set for the night.

Day 3  Chamina - Dopshing Pang

• Estimate time: 8 hours
• Campsite altitude: 2800
Today, it is an arduous trek; you will make a gradual climb to Sinchula Pass (3,400m), giving
you a 360-degree panoramic view. On a clear day, you can see Phajoding monastery, located
just above Thimphu, from here. After an hour walk, you reach another mountain pass, from
there you can see Talo Monastery, and the highway towards Punakha and central Bhutan is
visible. Once you cross the pass, the trek is a gradual descend, until the campsite at Dopshing
Pang.

Day 4  Dopshing Pang – Chorten Ningpo

Estimate time: 8 hours
• Campsite altitude: 2700
It’s an easy trek that will lead you through thick alpine mixed with Himalayan juniper forests,
villages, and paddy fields. Sighting of birds like magpies and thrushes will be common along

Day 5  Chorten Ningpo – Zomlingthang

• Estimate time: 3 hours
• No Camp return to hotel.
You will be trekking through several villages until you reach a motor road. It takes about two
to three hours. From the road, you walk to Punakha following it.

Day 6  Punakha to Paro

While heading out towards Paro, we will stop at Docula pass (3100 m) to witness 108 stupa
and on clear sky you can see Himalayan Mountain ranges caped with snow. After reaching
Paro you can visit national museum and Paro Ringpung dzong. Later stroll around Paro town
