About This Journey

The Trans Bhutan Trail is an ancient route covering 403km that begins from western
Haa and ends at eastern Trashigang in Bhutan. This path was highly used before the
18th century by travellers as well as traders to barter their livestock for essential salt
and other goods. Today, this trekking path has been revamped and regarded as one
of the most exceptional treks globally, and is recognized as one of the top hiking
routes in Asia. Recently, 58-year-old British nun Ani Pema Deki ( Emma Slade)
completed this trek in 37 days to raise funds for children with disability raising over
Nu 9 million.
